Hi,

from reading the JGit "New and Noteworthy" 4.6 [1] and 4.7 [2] I got the impression that some LFS support has been added to JGit.

Is this LFS support ready for anybody using JGit via its API? I found nothing in the documentation (JGit User Guide [3]) but was expecting to find some example similar to this page [4] that explains how to use LFS with GitHub.

My use case would be analog to the GitHub example:
- configure files that match certain pattern to be handled via LFS
- git add such a file
- git commit
- git push (to GitHub)

Is it possible to use JGit for this use case?

Thanks for your help,
Johannes.
