What does this mean, and how do I recover from it?

An error occurred during provisioning.
Error with signed content.
Either the manifest file or the signature file has been tampered in
this jar:
C:\Java\ganymede\plugins\org.eclipse.hyades.analysis.engine_ 4.4.0.v200804221626

I deleted the "tampered with" plugin, but now the install fails
saying it can't find the directory. I thought the installer
was smart enough to figure out what it needed and download it.

Can someone tell me how to recover from this and continue with
the install?

It is not a good idea to go deleting things from behind its back; p2
(the new "provisioning" [that is, install and update] mechanism now
manages those much more tightly than before). Other than restoring the
deleted plugin, I'm not sure what can be done. You might try also
removing the corresponding Haydes feature (if there is one) and
re-starting Eclipse with the -clean command-line argument. I'm not
promising that will help, but it might.

Thanks. It was easier just to reinstall Eclipse from scratch :-)
