Creating an updatesite with examples [message #1769948]

Dear,

My tool is as good as finished and I would like to create an updatesite so that I can send it to end users to try it out.

Now, I would want it so that when they install it, they can open an example model and start working from there.

How do I do this?

NOTE: I have tried making an update site according to the tutorial and have changed different settings, but when I install and open the site, I can only create model elements and cannot use my diagram tool with tool palette. I think that having an example could provide the solution for this.

Hi,

Sirius provides an example about "basic family", you can do the same for your case. You can have a look to the plugin basicfamily.sample [1] and how it is packaged in plugin org.eclipse.sirius.samples.family [2].
