A desired book as described herein [message #1768196] Fri, 14 July 2017 09:59 Go to next message

When I learnt C, I was advised to follow this book: Schaum's outline of theory and problems of programming with C, 2nd Ed., by Byron S. Gottfried Ph.D. It had an easy-to-follow pattern in the form of Questions-Answers.

Later on, I came across many books like The C Programming Language Book by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, but this book remains my favourite!

So naturally my question should be:
Is there a similar book in Java, following the same pattern, attempting to build our Java experience from the Grounds Up, without any dependence on the C programming language, with numerous programming codes, examples and problems?

Would this fill your need: <https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Books/Schaums-Outline-Programming-Java/0071420401>?

It was found googling "schaum's java". There are plenty of other responses, too.

No, I too had found it index.php/fa/30015/0/, but I need a first-hand experience of someone who has personally perused that book.
However, thanks!
