Hey,

we have an Oomph project setup with ProjectImportTask-s (in combination with different SourceLocators, they import the projects from our source control to Eclipse workspace). This works fine, except ...
We would expect that the newly created/added projects in the source control would be automatically added to workspace on every STARTUP, but that is not the case - they are only added when setup tasks are triggered MANUALLY.

This is a very common use case in our workflow; we work in several teams on different branches and after a merge of a certain team, quite often there are some newly created projects.
It would be nice that only starting the Eclipse would result in a complete workspace - and not letting the developer in doubts about what is the problem (maybe compile errors etc.) and forcing him to trigger the setup tasks manually.

What should we do to automatically import the newly added projects on startup?

Similar problem was already reported in: https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/1076753/
What is the reason for such isNeeded implementation?

Thanks!

This sounds like https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=517442 which I've not had time to look at.
