Hi All,
In a previous version of Eclipse I would design a few Java editor
templates with unique names. Then I would enter just the name e.g.
"templatex", press control + . and the template would automatically get
inserted.
Now, however, the content assist displays a list with two duplicate
entries for my uniquely named template i.e. no automatic insertion.
Is this a bug perhaps?

Go and reset the Advanced content assist preferences.

Thanks for this. This particular tip did not work, but when I looked at
Advanced content assist preferences I saw that in the top panel, "Select
the proposal kinds contained in the 'default' content assist list", there
were "Template Proposals" and "Template Proposals (Focused)" both
checked. Not knowing the difference, I unchecked the latter and this
problem is solved.

Mmh - clicking 'Restore Defaults' should have done the trick too.
Anyway, good to hear it works again for you.
