I'm guessing you tried to debug the program without building it.
The launching error is because the program was never built.
You shouldn't try to run or debug until the executable is built with Project-->Build Project
You need to have gcc and g++ in the program search path.
If you want to use MinGW, I recommend installing MSYS too.
You can check the PATH Build Variable at Project --> Properties --> C/C++ Build --> Variables
Check Show system variables then scroll down to PATH.
The following are at he front of PATH when running under Windows:
${MINGW_HOME}\bin
${MSYS_HOME}\bin
${MSYS_HOME}\usr\bin
Selecting MinGW GCC as the current tool chain should automatically set MINGW_HOME and MSYS_HOME and prepend the above to the PATH variable.
(Project --> Properties --> C/C++ Build --> Tool Chain Editor)
Don't know what happens if MinGW is not installed or not in the normal system path.
I have it installed in c:\Apps\MinGW and c:\Apps\MinGW\bin is at the front of my user PATH variable.
When using MinGW, you may want to set the Build Artifact extenson to "exe" if it isn't already.
Project --> Properties --> C/C++ Build --> Setting using the Build Artifact tab.
