Hi,

I recently installed Eclipse Neon on Windows 8 and added the following two lines to the start of the eclipse.ini file.

-vm
C:/dev/java/jdk1.8.0_91/bin

Anytime I have installed plugins it seems to overwrite the eclipse.ini file back to what it originally was. (The extra lines I added disappear and I have to re-add them again).

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks,

I don't generally expect that an update will modify the -vm argument in the eclipse.ini... Next time you try this, keep a copy of the original content and show us what the file looks like before and after the update.
