Hello Doug, I saw that you fixed Bug 498171 related to this error in the pass. It was experienced on the Arduino Due. The problem is present for the Arduino MKR1000. To re-produce the problem, download the SAMD 1.6.11 platform (Arduino Download Manager) and create a project that use it. I also have a UNO and I can't re-produce the problem with the AVR platform.
