Hello.

I am new to Eclipse and Java. We have a Oracle database that has Tririga tables loaded. The Datetime columns in these tables are populated using Java.

I have written a report in Eclipse using sql and am getting the raw Java data when I select a datetime column. I have found a to_date conversion to use in SQL Developer, however, it is not working in Eclipse. Using the to_date conversion, I am able to tell what the date should be. See example below:

tribegindate convert date trienddate convert date
1402511400000 11-JUN-14 1402511400000 11-JUN-14

Here is my to_date syntax:
TO_DATE('01/01/1970 00:00:00','DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') + (tribegindate /1000/60/60/24)

I am getting the data for "tribegindate" to print on my Eclipse report, but when I format the field through Eclipse, it does not print anything.

How can I get the Eclipse report to print dd/mm/yyyy converting the data that is currently there?

Thanks for any help.
