Hello everyone,

my question might sound weird but I really don't understand what "data binding" means. Is this another word for data mapping? I know the RAP framework is built on JFace which is a data-binding framework. Is JFace something like Hibernate?

Does RAP offer a database access out-of-the-box?
Can anyone explain me the difference between data binding and database access?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Aziz

JFace databinding is a framework for connecting GUI widgets to an object model.
It has nothing to do with database persistence.
