I've been using Eclipse Kepler successfully for months on my Windows 10 laptop, but this afternoon it crashed on me and now consistently crashes whenever I launch it.

Things I have tried:

- Restarting my laptop
- Updating Java (i've been getting the prompt to update for a while but haven't updated until AFTER the problem started...)
- Amending eclipse.ini to explicitly point at my up-to-date JDK (old and new versions of eclipse.ini attached, as well as the hs_error logs from a crash before and after I made the changes). I also added -d64 in the INI file, as I have tested that the JDK I'm pointing at is 64-bit.

I'm a bit mystified as to where I should go from here. Any suggestions?

It seems you've hit https://bugs.eclipse.org/493669 (basically a VM/JIT bug).
