Dear All,

I have been trying to create a Domain Specific Sequence Diagram for my domain metamodel, which I generated with Sirius for a while.

But, I can't figure even where to start!

I followed the tutorial on https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sirius/Tutorials/AdvancedTutorial.
But that doesn't help in creating Sequence Diagrams.

Do we have to extend the UML2 implementations? For example, considering the BasicFamily tutorial in the tutorial, do we need to have Family Class Extend Interaction Class, and so on?

I searched the forum and the Internet and couldn't find a solid tutorial on this subject.

Sorry if this is an already solved issue, but I really need some guidance on this!

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

You can create a Sequence Diagrams with any metamodel you want without needing to extend UML2 or BasicFamily. I suggest that you look how is made the "Interaction" sample. You should find it installed in your plugins with Sirius, or you can get it from Git (https://git.eclipse.org/c/sirius/org.eclipse.sirius.git/tree/plugins). You have four plugin to import (metamodel, edit, editor and design). Note that creating your own Sequence Diagram with your metamodel is more advanced than "regular" diagrams. You now have ordering expressions to set as the graphical order of diagram elements is now important.

Regards,
Steve
