Hello,

I have added P2 functionality to my application for automatic update.
It works fine but I have 2 questions :
- Do I need to change plugins and/or feature versions to allow the update ?
- How to remove previous versions of my plugins (I read some articles with no final solution) ?

Thanks

Jean-Pascal

Hello,

I'm also interested in the p2 cleaning. Did you try the P2 Garbage Collector as described here ? https://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/p2/FAQ#Why_aren.27t_bundles_being_removed_when_their_associated_feature_has_been_removed.3F
I never tried it, but that's something I will need to consider in my own application.

For question 1, I'm pretty sure changing a plugin is enough. Besides, I think the update check is also based on the timestamp of the build in the generated plugin/feature version number.
