Can't Open Files In Editor Anymore [message #1739291]

For some reason, I can no longer display files in the PackageExplorer in the Java Editor when double clicking them. They are not visible.
They show in the File MRU list but not in the editor.

I can back to and forward to them , they highlight in the Package Explorer but do not display in the editor.

I have tried right click "Open With" and right click "Open" but neither displays a file , any of them.

I am wondering if I have an open hidden pane but can't figure out how to display that either. I have now spent hours trying to figure this out.

Hi

Have you tried restarting Eclipse? This kind of magic often just goes away.

Yes , that didn't fix it.
I finally had to open a new window and reset perspective and then close old one.
I lost some of my perspective settings.
Not sure what happened but that's what I did to get it back.

That happened to me once. It was a while ago, but that sounds like the fix.
