C++ reverse engineer howto [message #1736401] Wed, 29 June 2016 05:03 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi.

I have installed all Papyrus Designer components to be able to work with
c++ round trip but I cannot find any way to reverse engineer my code
into a Papyrus model.

I created a Papyrus model using the c++ profile containing an empty
class diagram. How do I get my existing classes into the diagram?

Regards, Micke.

Hi,

In order perform the reverse, you have to right click on the CDT project, or one of its files open in the current editor. Then you have a popup menu:

Reverse > To new UML model
or Reverse > To existing UML model (Overwrite)

Note that we have not release incremental reverse yet because it is experimental, but it is available if you get the code.

Regards,

Shuai

Dear Sir/Mrs.

We want to perform "Reverse Engineering" using Payrus.
we use: Eclipse-INDIGO with the papyrus installed. The pop-up menus are not working.

Best regards,
Yehuda

C++ reverse engineering is not supported for Eclipse Indigo which is about 6 years old. It is only supported on neon and oxygen (with the additional Papyrus component "SW designer" is installed).

Dear Ansgar
thanks for your answer. Where to find it for oxigen or neon?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Yehuda
