Hi,

Apparently the plugin to be able to generate diagrams from C++ code is going to made available in Papyrus 2.0. Really need to know when Papyrus 2.0 will be available in a stable version.

Also would like to know if Papyrus 2.0 will be compatible with Mars or will it require an upgrade to Neon?

Also will the standalone instance of Papyrus be updated to use Neon or will the standalone version "disappear" altogether?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Papyrus 2.0 is part of Neon, thus will be released on June 22th

There will be a standalone (RCP) version of Papyrus. However, it is not planed to support automatic update from Papyrus 1.1.x/Mars to Papyrus 2.0.x/Neon (Manual update may still be possible)

Papyrus usually doesn't guarantee compatibility with ealier versions of Eclipse (i.e. Papyrus 2.0 will not be officially supported on Eclipse Mars). It may or may not work (Most likely, it won't)

Regards,
Camille

Is it possible to obtain access to the C++ reverse engineering portion of Papyrus prior to its June 22 release?

Hi,

I don't know the status of the C++ Reverse, but you can definitely get a Release Candidate of Papyrus. You simply have to go to the "Developer builds" page in the Eclipse Downloads:

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index-developer.php

Then follow the usual steps for installing Papyrus

I expect the latest version of the C++ Reverse plug-ins to work with this version of Papyrus

HTH,
Camille

The C++ reverse engineering plug in is not included with Neon RC2. I am having difficulty being able to connect to the update site to be ale to download any additional modeling components.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
