Within this position the development will mainly be focused on Eclipse RCP based tooling and modern Web-Application Development (AngularJS). The applicant would be able to work in an international team with up to date technologies and standards. Within the ESB Product we use and actively contribute to Apache CXF, Camel, Karaf and ActiveMQ with senior colleagues in the company which are active committers in these (and other) projects.
Maintenance of existing product components
Talend Runtime (OSGi / Apache Karaf) and Microsservice (Spring Boot) target code generation for Routes (Apache Camel) and Data Services (Apache CXF)
Provide suitable solutions for complex problems and provide options and effort estimates on selected technical topics.
Apply and promote good development practices among the team and participate in code reviews to provide qualified feedback to other team members.
Optional: This position would also allow to be expanded to a Product Owner or Team Lead positon for the ESB Product and by this provides an ideal opportunity for someone who likes to go to the next level.
Skills and experience:
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 year in Java development, with at least 1 year of Eclipse RCP development.
Good understanding of SOAP (JAX-WS / WSDL and related WS-* Standards) and REST (JAX-RS) based service design and development
Experience to work in agile development teams, ideally using the Scrum methodology.
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
Optional, but desirable:
Experience with either Apache Camel, CXF, Karaf, ActiveMQ (JMS/Messaging in general)
Experience with application integration solutions (ESB/SOA) or the use/understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns
Past or current involvement in Open Source Projects (we not expect it but it would be a plus)
