I guess I am not the first one asking this question, but I could not find any answer searching in this forum and with Google.

I work on a computer in a company where I cannot do/install what I want.
I have downloaded the self-extracting exe version of the Eclipse Installer ("eclipse-inst-win64.exe" file). When I start this exe, I land on a page "JRE Missing" (this page: http://download.eclipse.org/oomph/jre/ with additional parameters). I have tried to start the exe with an additional parameter "-vm" as I do in the Eclipse.ini file.

Is there a way to specify the path to the JVM path when I start this self-extracting exe?

Alternatively:
Is there a way to download the Eclipse installer as ZIP (the folder containing the "eclipse-inst.exe" and the "eclipse-inst.ini" files, because this way I can define the JVM location).

Thank you in advance.

No, it doesn't take additional parameters. The only think I can think
is to run it from a command shell in which you've place the Java you'd
like to use by default on the PATH. Or set JAVA_HOME to point at it in
that shell. Then you can switch to advanced mode and you'll be asked to
save it in a permanent location. Once it's there, you have an
installation in which you can change the eclipse-int.ini.

I'm not totally sure the PATH is consulted, but certain JAVA_HOME is
consulted...

No, we only make the self-extracting version available.
