Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone here has implemented the functionality of using xtext editor on nodes and edges labels, the same way that has been done in Yakindu State Charts tool. I think it is not quite clear that how to to do that on Sirius and which extension points should be used. In this article http://muelder.blogspot.ca/2011/04/xtext-celleditor-integration.html ,Andreas says that it is straight forward. However, I've been trying for weeks and couldn't make it happen.

Generally it is a feature that can bring GMF editors on top of other editors. So it would be good if some experts could make a clear documentation of it. Or if sirius developers could make it as an option in the Sirius description.

Thanks for your comments. As far as I know the Sirius-Xtext integration on git that you also provided the link is using embedded editor factory which shows an xtext editor as a popup. I am actually using it and works fine for me. However, what I was looking for, was a label editor using xtext, not showing a popup. e.g. when the user clicks on the label to edit, they can see xtext styling in the label it self. Andreas provided a cell editor component in Yakindu, but I had a really hard time understanding what is going on ! So, I was thinking of having that feature in Sirius description itself would bring a huge competitive advantage to Sirius.

I will raise a feature request in bugzilla Smile
