Every time I start up my copy of Eclipse Mars.2 on my Mac here at work running Yosemite, I am presented with this lovely little message:

(( Can't show message because I have fewer than 1 message posted as I am posting this. ))

(( Imagine a dialog box titled 'Multiple problems have occurred', with a description of 'An internal error occurred during: "Project classpath scan".' Below that, a listbox with four entries, each one says 'Project classpath scan'. When highlighting any of those four and clicking the 'Details' button below the listbox, a textarea appears below everything to show the text 'An internal error occurred during: "Project classpath scan". java.lang.NullPointerException' ))

All four of those "Project classpath scan" errors show a "NullPointerException" in the Details area. I have 5 projects in my Project Explorer. The other odd thing is that all of my projects seem to run just fine. So what gives?

Also, Googling did *not* return any results relevant to this issue, which is a first for me.

I have the same problem after updating the jdt plugin (when using eclipse neon).
Has anyone resolved this?

No one has, sadly. However, I will say that I have not seen the error pop up any more since I updated my Eclipse to Neon.
