Issues after updating to Mars 2 (additional folders, visual issues) [message #1727767]

I have updated my Mars 1 Eclipse "installation" to Mars 2 via internal update module (put it in quotes as it hasn't been originally installed through the installer, but it was just unpacked into C:\Eclipse on Windows from a zip archive).

Every time i run Eclipse it creates empty C:\eclipse2\.eclipseextension\features folder. Is it a feature or bug? Also i have noticed that now all my projects has ">" sign before their names. Before the updated only the projects with local changes were marked like that (my projects are Git based). It even shows it in the Git Repositories window. Is it a bug or does it show it for some other reasons now?
