I am trying to install a new SSL certificate from my website that uses Jetty.

I am very lost. I have some documentation and some experience but this has me very confused. Thank you for anyone taking the time to read this.

I am using Keytool

  1. I generated a JKS file
  2. I generated my CSR file
  3. I provided that to my CA Provider (GoDaddy)
  4. keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias server -file star_MYDOMAIN_com.p7b -keystore
    Then I entered the password
  5. I listed the keystores for star_MYDOMAIN_com.jks
    It has 1 entry
  6. Now the instructions that I have that say I need to run a script and find the "Create Obfuscated version of password for jettyssl.
  7. Then I need to add that to the jetty-ssl.xml file

Again I am just confused and lost of someone could point to what I am doing wrong that would be a huge help. If there is any information that I left out that would be helpful please let me know.

Also, this server is behind a NGINX server so will the certificate not work until I apply it to both servers?

Thank you!
