[EVL] A problem in markerType [message #1717006]

Hi all,

I am trying to construct the validation constraint for an example. I had followed steps in [1] .But I failed to choose the right markerType for my own editor.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Yang,

There's something wrong with validation in general in your editor (i.e. the "Validation" item doesn't even appear under under the "Edit" menu when an instance of your editor is open). As your editor is hand-crafted (i.e. as opposed to generated by something like Eugenia [1]) it's really hard to tell where things went wrong.

Hi Dimitris ,

If I don't generate my editor by Eugenia, only by GMF. What should I do to use EVL for my validation constraint. I've set "true" in the Validation Enabled and Validation Decorators in the Gen Diagram.

Hi Yang,

No clue I'm afraid. Perhaps people at the GMF forum could help with this. Once you get the "Validate" item to appear under the "Edit" menu please let me know if the EVL problem persists.

Hi Dimitris,

I've figured out this.
First, I constructed a constraint in gmfmap.
Then, I change the property "priority" to medium in gmfgen.
And after this, I can choose the right markerType.
Now the "validate" appears.
