Hi,

I am cloning a git repository with submodules (using Eclipse Mars and egit). The history of each file in the submodules is not displayed. Is there anything i have to configure?

AFAIR this only works if each submodule is in a separate Eclipse project

Are there plans to change/fix this behavior? In order to effectively work with submodules (change source files, compile, commit) it is not possible to keep them as a separate project, at least for me.

I think this bug is related to the issue but the status did not change in the last years:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=401556

Are submodules so seldomly used that this issue is not being fixed?
