Configure Installed JREs in a Custom Product [message #1714981]

We are Building a Custom Product that Bundles Java Development Tools. We would like to preconfigure the installed JREs. Doing this by adding entries to plugin_customization.ini does not seem to work. is there another way to achieve this

(there is this strange install.x dont know if that can be scripted somehow)

p.s. i have found <extension point="org.eclipse.jdt.launching.vmInstalls"> but this does not allow you to set the Default jre

(Setting this jre via IStartup seems to work but is Kind a ugly imho
