Hello

I am working on a GEF4 tutorial at GEF4 Tutorial - Part 1 - Minimal MVC.

There might be lots of issues with this tutorial. Please create new Issue on GitHub if you find any, e.g.:
- bugs in the tutorial code or in the description text
- suggestions for questions that could be answered
- suggestions for new tutorial steps
- suggestions for better code quality
- ...

thanks
Frank

Hello, Frank

I am very interested in GEF4 and your works, but I do not know how to run in eclipse mars. Would you mind to give a detailed steps about eclipse configurations.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Li,

here the steps:

1.
Have TortoiseGit installed (windows), or command line.

2.
Download (clone) the GEF4 repository from here: git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/gef/org.eclipse.gef4

3.
Download (clone) the tutorial repository from here: https://github.com/keinfarbton/gef4.mvc.tutorial.git

4.
Check the tutorials README.md file.
Here it is written, with what revision from GEF4 the tutorial is compatible.
E.g.:
Depends on GEF4 revision:
	Revision: 920b9963a4cc7945c42252d031d0f7690cb79472
	Date: 21.12.2015 19:42:38

5.
Use git, to find the commit in the gef4 log, then use "Reset master to this...".

6.
Import all projects into Eclipse:
File->Import->General->Import existing projects into workspace.
Import all projects from gef4 and the tutorial.

7.
Use the .launch configuration in the tutorials to start the examples.

cu
Frank
