By reading this blog post: New features for Scanner rules (required to support eg Asciidoc), I have understood that you have a JavaFX demo application for the Asciidoc syntax (Maybe with a preview view using Asciidoctor).

Is this Demo App somewhere available?

I am holding a talk on Asciidoctor at ECE 2015, I would be happy to show this application live (or as a screenshot on a slide), if you can tell me more about it.

Hi,

I'll try to get back to you tomorrow (Friday CEST).

We can not ship (all) the asciidoc stuff from Eclipse.org because for
that we'd need to push JRuby through IP but I'll push those parts to our
own github repo.

My talk is now on YouTube:

I have only mentioned that you were working on something and that it looks promising. I hope I can catch up with what you are doing (take time, I do not want to stress you).

Hallo,

I'm quite interested in literate programming inside Eclipse, and I want to bring AsciiDoc in Eclipse.

I already did some work on Asciidoc under mylyn Wikitext Extras , as example by adding lists

I am available to participate in development efforts, to bring this to life.

Regards,

At the moment there are two approaches to bring support for the AsciiDoc file format into the Eclipse world.

1/ Implement a basic parser on top of Mylyn Wikitext.
@Patrik: this is what you are suggesting.
I have given my feedback to this approach on the Asciidoctor Mailing List.
http://discuss.asciidoctor.org/AsciiDoc-support-in-Eclipse-td3239.html
I do not really believe in this approach, but if this approach is successful, I will be the first user.
I had tried to participate to the effort when maxandersen had forked the project:
https://github.com/maxandersen/jbosstools-asciidoctor/commits/master/plugins
Now the development continuous at Eclipse (changes in Gerrit), but in my opinion there is a need for a Mylyn Docs commiter engaged to review and accept the AsciiDoc patches.

2/ Use the Asciidoctor AST
This is what Tom is doing here. I am really interested in this approach.
If I understood Dan Allen correctly the Asciidoctor team also want to reduce (or even to eliminate) the ruby bridge from the Asciidoctorj implementation.

@Tom: I know we missed each other at the EclipseCon Europe. I had also a lack of time from my side.
I now wait for the CQs and I hope I will be able to catch up with your development later.

@Tom: any news on your tool for Asciidoctor based on JavaFX (source repo? documentation page? download page...)
Please tell me if I can help you with something...
