Dear all,
Do you know if Linux framebuffer
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_framebuffer
is compatible with RCPTT and Jenkins ?
I ask for this because probably I need to operate in a Linux machine without GUI.
Please let me know .
Thanks in advance.

Hi Angelo,

I'm not quite sure if it is related 100% to your question, but you can use headless linux for running UI tests. To do this, you need to install Xvnc.

Please see this article for more details (second part of it, after the basic Jenkins setup).

Kind regards,
Ulyana.

Hi Ulyana,
In my opinion are 2 different things.
I'll work in Linux machine without GUI (Only shell) and someone told me that it is possible to run test cases on that using Linux Framebuffer.
I'll let you know more details when I'll start to work on that just to be honest at the moment it is not clear to me.
Thank you.

Hi Folks,
I can confirm rcp tt is compatible with framebuffer to run test cases from Jenkins, I test it few minutes ago with a Linux Machine LTS with XFCE as window manager.
