IProgressService and accessing the UI thread [message #327432] Fri, 18 April 2008 11:57

Is it okay for a Job displayed using showInDialog or busyCursorWhile to
create and run UIJobs? (It seems to work in practice.)

In the same vein, does it make any sense to pass UIJobs to showInDialog or
busyCursorWhile? Unfortunately, a few of my UI update operations can take
a long time for large datasets. Until I figure out how to fix this, I
would like to give the user some indication of what is going on.

Thanks,
David
