Hi,

Whenever I create a new git branch, while a task is active, then the branch gets the following name: issue_<issue-key>_<issue summary>. There are two cases where this happens:

I create a brand new branch. In this case I would like to define the format of the new branch name. Is rather optional.
I checkout a remote branch. I would expect the branch name to match the remote branch. I find this is extremely annoying. I have to deactivate a task everytime I checkout a remote branch, and then reactivate it.

Is there any way to change this behaviour?

I am using:
Eclipse Luna, Mylyn version 3.14.2

Not that I know of. Please open a bug against EGit/Mylyn.
