Hi,

I'm investigating the use of RCPTT for my Eclipse project CDO. CDO does not define its own product, it's more a set of
plugins that run in any product. Normally for debugging and testing I launch a runtime workbench with the
"org.eclipse.platform.ide" product and my plugins deployed.

I was hoping to be able to use a normal Eclipse Application launch with the RCPTT runtime deployed at least to record
the tests. But it appears to me that I'm required to create a custom product configuration and export it to the
filesystem before I can even define an AUT launch. Is that correct or am I missing something?

Cheers
/Eike

Hi Eike,

Let me please reproduce it with CDO Project and come back to you later tonight.

Kind regards,
Ulyana.

That's awesome. Thank you!

Please note that there's a functional Oomph setup available for the CDO project (in fact I've originally invented the
Oomph technology to support my CDO contributors ;-) ), so after a few clicks in the Eclipse Installer you should quickly
have the exact same workspace that we CDO comitters use. Let me know if you need assistance...

Cheers

Hi Ulyana,

Did you already have the chance to develop a more detailed opinion on this issue?

Hi Eike,

Could you please try the following:

1) Install RCPTT into Eclipse Mars from an update site;
2) Checkout your CDO sources and create Eclipse Application launch configuration as you would normally do;
3) In Run->Run configurations dialog find an 'Eclipse Application under Test' launch configuration type, create a new one and on launch configuration property page select your existing Eclipse Application launch configuration. If you switch to RCPTT perspective then, you should be able to see your AUT in Applications view and launch it.

It should work ok.

Kind regards,
Ulyana.
