Hi,

before ECP version 1.5 there was an extension point "org.eclipse.emf.ecp.edit.controls" which made it possible to replace all controls for a specific ClassType/EObject/Feature combination without the need to build the view model and replace the regarding default control by hand. This extension point along with the class structure became deprecated with version 1.5 or 1.6.
Currently I found the possiblity for custom controls like described here: eclipsesource.com/blogs/tutorials/emf-forms-custom-control-areas
But this does not replace automatically every control (even in generic views) by type.
My question is, is there a way to define the control replacement type-wise in version 1.6+ ? Or how is (will) the deprecated extension point structure replaced, since there is no message in the @deprecated attribute?

Best regards

Hi,

the extension point has been replaced with OSGi service, have you had a
look at the migration guide:

Best regards
