Cannot use ctrl+click, hover, etc. [message #1706261] Tue, 25 August 2015 08:10
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

I cannot figure out how to get Ctrl+Click and Hover working again in CDT. It used to work, but it just stopped working and I have no idea why. Both Ctrl+Click and Hover work properly in PHP and Java files. The only place it stopped working is in C files.

To trouble shoot I tried resting to default the following settings:
- Preferences >> General >> Editors >> Text Editors >> Hyperlinking >> Restore Defaults
- 'C/C++ Elements' and 'C/C++ Step into Selection' both are ticked on
- Preferences >> C/C++ >> Editor >> Hovers >> Restore Defaults
- 'Combined Hover' (no modifier) and 'Source' (shift modifier) both ticked on

I'm not sure what else controls Ctrl+Click and Hover and why it is only broken in C files. It is severely slowing me down as I am quite used to the convenience that Eclipse provides in navigating through files.

My setup is Ubuntu 14.04.3 with Eclipse Mars.

Thank you
