Hi,

I wonder how it's possible to apply changes within the Viewpoint Specification Project in real time like in the 4' Tutorial.

My projects within the basic eclipse workspace contains the meta model in EMF and the Viewpoint Specification. In order to use the modeling capabilities of the defined plugins, I've to start a new Eclipse instance and create a Modeling project, where I can select the specified view point. This works fine so far. However, changes within the within the Viewpoint Specification Project inside the basic workspace are only applied to the Modeling project if I start a new eclipse instance again.

Creating the Modeling project within the basic workspace don't work as it seems that the my EMF plugins (.edit) isn't known and also a view point can't be selected.

In the 4' Tutorial it looks like that everything is contained inside the basic workspace. Maybe I've to register the plugins there in some way?

Cheers,
Phil

You should create your Modeling Project AND your Viewpoint Specification
Project in the second instance. As it is explained here [2] : "In order
to facilitate the test of the designer, we recommend to create this
project in the same Eclipse runtime launched previously."

Thx Laurent for the quick response.
I tried this already, but I wasn't able to access my domain model then. However, it seems to work now Smile

Cheers
