With the release of Mars, has anything changed with regards to how RCP 3.x apps can be migrated to 4.x, taking the respective vogella article on eclipse.org as baseline?

I'm also interested in the state of widgets like the Navigator - do they exist as native e4 plugins yet - but my main question is about more general changes, e.g., to the compat layer, etc.
