i use jdk1.8.0. my computer is a 64-bit one and i have downloaded the appropriate eclipse version.....when i try to run the it i get the following dialog box.......

Try the 32-bit Eclipse download instead.

That's most likely a problem with the detection of an adequate Java version with the right bitness. The new Eclipse
Installer would configure that automatically for you or tell you what you need and where to get it from:
