Eclipse Market Place Freezing whilst retrieving data from http://marketplace.eclipse.org

My Eclipse Kepler IDE crashes everytime i try to open the market place. it was working before but started crashing a few days ago. My guess is that our proxy is causing however the problem is that i cannot close Eclipse. I click on the cancel button and nothing happe leaving me to open Task Manager and kill the application. To make it worse when you open the market place it does not save the code.

Any ideas of how can install plugins without using the market place.

Ps Drag and Drop does not work on Kepler.
