Am new to openHAB. So far succeeded installing Designer and runtime on my Windows 8 pc plus iPhone App. Is looking very promising.

Designer is giving problems on my MacBook and Windows PC.
Designer is slowing down my PC, so wanted to test on my MacBook Air. I receive error when opening the app. Attached is screenshot and log.

After basic configurations work, I like to start testing openHAB2 and HABmin.

Look forward to a solution for Eclipse SmartHome Designer for Mac and Windows. Rolling Eyes

The log says: "Unresolved requirement: Require-Capability: osgi.ee; filter:="(&(osgi.ee=JavaSE)(version=1.7))""

Is it possible that you try to run it with Java 6 (instead of 7 or 8 )?

Could you check that it also uses Java 8 on the command line? Do a "java -version" and check the result.

Command line gave 1.6.
Now used JDK instead of JRE and then Designer started working.
Thanks!
