Same formatter options in mars as in luna (and before)? [message #1698090]

We were using the default formatter (with spaces instead of tabs) for a long time in our team. The new default formatter in mars introduces a lot of changes in our code. What settings do I have to set in order to get the same formatting as before?

The formatter was updated in Mars and multiple bugs have been fixed along with that. See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=303519 and its block hierarchy.

I have submitted bug 470506 with an example of difference between Mars and Eclipse 3.7.2
