i want both c++ and java programs in Eclipse [message #1698014]

I have downloaded and installed eclipse for c++ development. It is working perfectly. Now I want to add eclipse for Java to it. I saw somewhere that i can use the "Install New software". I gave the below in the "work with" field.

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/luna/SR2/eclipse-java-luna-SR2-win32-x86_64.zip&mirror_id=454

Then I click "Add". another window pops up, "Add Repository". I give some options. But it says, "No software found at 'so n so place' DO u wish to edit location?"

Could some one help me complete this? I hope we can use both c++ and Java in eclipse. Please help.

You should be using the Luna Update Site, http://download.eclipse.org/releases/luna/ , and it should already be in your list of Available Sites. The URL you linked would be for a complete download of the Eclipse Java IDE package.

So it not something one would go looking for in lets say the Market Place? I am sorta in the same boat but backwards. I want c/c++ and have java on luna. I also want PHP too.

the cdt download page:
https://eclipse.org/cdt/downloads.php

has this line:
p2 software repository: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/8.6

Add that as a new software site and install from there
(Help, Install New Software...)
