Hello,

When trying to install the IDE-tooling (from http://download.eclipse.org/efxclipse/updates-nightly/site/?d with Eclipse Mars, I run into a somewhat strange error (see screenshot) : "Problems downloading artifact" with two explanations :
* "Downloaded stream not a valid archive. Check the server"
* "MD5 hash is not as expected"

Normally the first thing I think of in such cases is the proxy, but downloading EMF tooling (ecore editor and XSD-XML mapper) did not give any issues.

I first tried with Mars M7 and now with RC2, the problem remains the same.
On the other hand, the same tooling doesn't give any problems with Eclipse Luna.

Am I the only one having such problems ? Any one an idea on how to solve this ... ?

Hi,

That really looks scary - I'll try to reproduce myself and come back
with findings if I have any.

Just in case what version of java did you start Eclipse on?

Hi,

Everything works for me like a charme:
* downloaded eclipse mars rc3
* added update site
* waited for a bunch of minutes until all was downloaded
* ALL installed
* restart
* tooling is available

I guess the ?d is only typo in the URL you posted? I'm running Eclipse
with JDK8u60-ea build but I don't expect there to be a difference if you
run with JDK8u45. What I know is not working in some cases is running on
JDK9 because of pack200 errors.

Hello,

The "?d" at the end was no typo, but the address I used. I don't know where it came from. I did not really care about the URL because the site was appearing in the installation window and the download was initiated.

Anyhow, I removed it and the download now works perfectly !

Sorry for the trouble,

Thomas
