https://raw.githubusercontent.com/thSoft/elysium/master/Elysium.setup has a VariableTask of type Resource for storing the path to an executable file that has to be installed apart from the Eclipse infrastructure.
On my Windows machine, I get a button opening a browser (alas, for a folder not for a file), on my Mac there is only a text field and no button at all. I think, some time back I got a File selection dialog for this variable task.
Is this a bug, or is it the wrong VariableTask type?
Alex
P.S.: In fact, I got the folder browser button, because the variable's value was stored in the user.setup.
If I declare a new variable of type File or Resource, there is no button at all. I guess this is indeed a bug.

Alex,
That doesn't sound quite right. I don't have the source available while
traveling, but so I don't recall what other type alternative you might
try, is there file? I wouldn't expect behavior differences between the
platforms. I know folder works on all the platforms, but we've had not
need for entering a file as of yet. So it sounds like a bug...
