Dear expert,

I am having hard times finding updated documentation/help to setup a Pax logger in Eclipse.

Following the instructions in this blog, what I did so far is:

* adding the proper Pax/Equinox bundle dependencies to my project
* telling Eclipse to start the Pax configuration manager in the product configuration
* creating the folders ./confadmin/factories and ./confadmin/services
* adding Log4J configuration instructions in ./confadmin/services/org.ops4j.pax.logging.properties and added the bundles.configuration.location VM argument in my Run configuration.

Now I can see logging is working fine but there are 2 buts:

i) directives I put in my Log4j configuration file are ignored, although the org.ops4j.pax.configmanager.internal.ConfigurationAdminFacade acknowledges my configuration.
ii) I don't understand how I could use my "Logger" plugin to control/configure logging in other dependening plugins. I want a central logging setup.

Thanks for any help you can provide, I'll keep digging and searching meanwhile.

-Piero
