AJDT - our plan. [message #32457] Fri, 02 April 2004 08:53 Go to next message

Hi,

We know AOSD 2004 at Lancaster has come and gone. Where is AJDT? I
wanted to spell out our strategy for the next few weeks.

This is as per Adrians post just now on aspectj-users:

AspectJ 1.2 is imminent - a release candidate will be out inside the next
week as long as there are no surprises. We've had a brief AJDT discussion
here in Hursley, and we're going to change out plans a little. Next week
we will build a version of AJDT that works on 3.0M8, incorporating the 1.2
compiler. This version will be based on the current AJDT codebase (i.e.
not Lancaster) but will provide a solution for users whilst waiting for
the new generation of AJDT to be released.

Andy

We have no date for final release but we have a codebase that is almost
ready to put out in some form on CVS for those desperate to try it.

Today I am doing some final testing on the 3.0m8 AJDT (1.1.7) which is
looking good.

I should also add that the team here are more responsive to emails to the
AJDT mailing list than the newsgroup. That's because we have to remember
to check the newsgroup - so it can be a while between posts from us ...
sorry about that !

cheers,
Andy.

Hi Andy,

Any chance of getting a mail-to-news gateway set up if that's the case?

Ian.
