I am using Eclipse CDT Luna SR2 on my Mac OS X Yosemite machine. I have a remote drive mounted on my filesystem using sshfs. It contains a git repository.

I successful created a new project from this git repository. However, I am not able to use functionalities like "Navigate to definition", "View call hierarchy" etc.

I always get errors like "Symbol not found in index". I have enable indexing using File >Properties >C++ > Indexer but it does not seem to work. Is there any specific setting required?

My workspace lies on my local filesystem. I have also verified that I have read/write request to the mounted remote location.
