Markers in CompareEditor [message #31066] Tue, 04 November 2008 19:16

Hello!

I'm using the CompareEditor which is called from the Subversive history
view.

I'm trying to use markers within the CompareEditor. But it seems the
CompareEditor doesn't support markers, because it doesn't show a
annotation column on the left border, which displays the marker(-icons),
like in the Eclipse TextEditor.

I don't know if it makes sense at all to add markers to a file from a
previous revision (file-version), because markers do not support
versioning. So I think it would not be possible to reopen the
marker-position because the marker has no revision number assigned.

Perhaps I have to implement my own markers. Is it somehow possible to
add an action "New marker" to the compare-editor's menu when I
right-click somewhere in the source-code?

Regards,

Christoph.
