Eclipse Community Forumsjavadoc hover popup background/text color
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/77817/242081/#msg_242081
I am on Linux, trying to use eclipse with a dark theme. When I am in a
java editor, I mouse over a type (say iterator) and a popup appears with
all the javadoc. Or I ctrl+shft for code completion. With the dark linux
theme, both the javadoc hover (Is that correct terminology?) and the code
complete options use the default color (black) with black text, so both
these widgets are unusable. I searched around in the options to try and
change all this but to no avail.
Can someone point me to how to
1. Change the font color of the javadoc hovers?
2. Change the font color of the code complete dealy?
If I cant change the font color, I could live with changing the background
color.
Thanx.
ps -- In General->appearances->colors and fonts I see javadoc font (but no
color) and then beneath it something like javadoc view background.
Changing the background color does not cause the background color of the
hover to change.]]>michael2007-12-04T14:59:26-00:00Re: javadoc hover popup background/text color

You can only change the font itself (General > Appearance > Colors and
Fonts)

Not sure what you mean here.

This is currently only possible by changing the tool tip color in your OS.

I have the same problem. But when changing my desktop theme (running archlinux with gnome) the color of the hover doesn't change. For me the background is dark-green and the font is black. So it is not possible to read the text.
