Eclipse Community ForumsWorkbench not working properly with Firefox
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/628298/1220499/#msg_1220499
i am developing a RAP Workbench Application and i have a problem, which only occurs in Firefox. It is working with Internet Explorer, Opera and even Epiphany ( a Linux Browser).
Sadly i am not able to reproduce it, but maybe some of you can still help me.
I am using RAP 2.2 RC1 but this problem also occurred with RAP 2.1
In one of my Workbench Perspective i have 7 views. 4 one the left side, 3 at the bottom.
Sometimes (about 50% of the time) the right views are only clickable with the right Mouse Button, meaning the Application is unusable
I have attached two screenshots showing Firebug when the view is clickable or not.
It first occurred when i was adding a fourth Combo Viewer to the "Mass" View on the left and it happened again yesterday as I added the History view (bottom left)
Another strange thing which i noticed is the following: I am using two screens at work one is my Laptop Resolution with 1366 * 768 and the other one is 1920*1080.
If I load the application on my laptop monitor, this behavior never occurs.
I have tried several things, but nothing worked, also as mentioned before this is a Firefox exclusive problem.
If you need further information please feel free to ask.

sometimes, browser extensions like Firebug interfere with the
application. Could you try to test your application with Firebug disabled?

Ivan

thanks for your reply. I restarted Firefox with all extensions/addons disabled, but the problem still occurred. ]]>Tobias P.2013-12-13T11:11:45-00:00Re: Workbench not working properly with Firefox

without a way to reproduce the problem I can't help you much. Could you
try to create a simple project that demonstrate the issue?

Ivan

i still have no working standalone application due to time issues, but i have sorted out, what is causing the issues. The behaviour occurs when there are to much nested divs inside the first view which is shown. As a workaround i created an empty view, as the initial view and set it invisible after it gets the Focus. I hope i will have time in the next days/weeks to post a standalone example. ]]>Tobias P.2014-03-03T10:00:04-00:00
