M4 contains many bug fixes and some new line items towards the Europa
release. Stay tuned for the new and noteworthy with further details!
There are a few issues still being ironed out with the update site, but
these should be resolved next week.
Happy downloading!

Is there an update site for this release?
Thanks

The Europa M4 update site itself is not quite ready yet,
they expect that in a week or two.
In the mean time, if you'd like to be one of our early testers,
and if you already have Eclipse 3.3 M4 installed,
_and_ you already have GEF M4 and EMF/SDO/XSD M4 installed
(namely,
# The EMF driver used in this build is emf-sdo-xsd-SDK-2.3.0M4.zip
# The GEF driver used in this build is GEF-SDK-3.3M4.zip)
Then you can use the webtools milestones update site.
That is, add a remote update site of http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/milestones/
in the update manager.]]>David Williams2007-01-06T03:59:38-00:00Re: WTP 2.0 M4 Declared

Great stuff!
For those adventurous like me, here are the update sites for GET and
EMF that could be used to install features required for WTP. Though I
had to admit that EMF update site is really screwed up.
By the way, WTP does not declare dependent features in its
descriptors, so I can actually install WTP without those dependencies
but none of XML stuff works.
At some point someone mentioned that there is a plan to extract
minimal XML editing stuff into its own feature. Is it going to happened
any time soon?
Another confusing bit is that I only installed a WST feature, but it
brought up the Server support stuff. I thought that Server support
should really belong to JST or at least live in a separate feature...
Thanks again
Eugene

This includes server tooling since you can have non-J2EE servers. JST
adds J2EE support on top of WST.

I thought that this server infrastructure is generic enough and can be
also used to start non-web servers, such as databases, and other stuff.
Does it belong to "web" origin of the WST feature? Unless, of course, I
am missing something.
Don't read too much into a name. The term WST is really a misnomer, but
we are stuck with it at this point. It isn't and never was limited to
"web" technologies.
Both the download link and the update site URL further down in this
thread currently only give me 403 and 404 errors!
Maybe someone from the WTP folks could have a look?
Thanks,
Jörg

The Eclipse Infrastructure had some problems for a few days. I think it's about back to
normal (I've only tried download pages) so if you still see problems, send a note to webmaster@eclipse.org,
examplaing the links you were trying to use, etc, and what happend in response.
OK thanks, I managed to download it successfully in the meantime.

While they don't make publishing a update site for milestones builds a
non-adventurous task (either for developers and users), you can vote to
have a all-in-one pack for M-builds:
